Garland Hale "Andy" Barr IV is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the United States Representative for Kentucky's 6th congressional district since 2013.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Barr completed undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in 1996. While in college, he worked as an intern for Republican Senator Mitch McConnell and the Republican National Committee. After graduation, he worked as a legislative assistant for then-Missouri Representative Jim Talent before enrolling at the University of Kentucky College of Law.
