    • Gerald W. "Jerry" Moran is the junior United States Senator from Kansas and a member of the Republican Party. He was elected Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee for the 113th U.S. Congress on November 14th, 2012. Previously, he served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Kansas's 1st congressional district.
      Raised in Plainville, Kansas, Moran graduated from the University of Kansas and the University of Kansas School of Law.
