Joaquín Castro is an American politician from San Antonio, Texas who has served in the United States House of Representatives, representing Texas's 20th congressional district, since 2013. From 2003 to 2013, he was a representative in the Texas Legislature representing District 125. While in the Texas legislature Castro served as Vice-Chair of the Higher Education Committee and was a member of the Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committee. He has previously served on the County Affairs Committee, Border & International Affairs Committee and the Juvenile Justice & Family Issues Committee. Castro's identical twin brother, Julián Castro, serves as mayor of San Antonio....
